I know many of you know about my Town Magician series. Book 2 is coming out and I’m looking ahead to book 3, but also other projects. The project most near and dear to my heart is The Oddish Questors.
The Oddish Questors are a group of siblings that investigate paranormal events – Bigfoot sightings, Wendigo and even witches. Each has a particular skill they use to help the investigations. Here’s a brief about them:
Who and what are the Oddish Questors?
They are a group of siblings that investigate things paranormal. Think of the X-files meets the Scooby Doo gang, but not solving mysteries with fake ghosts. They look into the weird, strange and unusual in our world.
They weren’t always siblings. Mama G found them and brought them all together because each one of them were orphans with special gifts. Their early adventures are described in Young Oddish Questors.
Since their father disappeared, they have pursued the supernatural in the hopes of figuring out what happened to him. This keeps them together and they’ve encountered many cryptids and unique situations in this pursuit.
Freddy – Freddy is the oldest and the showman. He’s a kid at heart, which can get him in trouble with his siblings because of his irresponsible ways.
Andy – Andy is on the spectrum, and helps with his strength … and maybe more?
Cera – Cera is a tech genius. She can program anything and creates most of the gadgets the gang uses.
Conor – Conor’s the defacto leader because he knows the most about what they are searching for and pushes himself the hardest. He loves research.
Madelyn – Madelyn is a witch, and I mean that in the best way. She controls magic and her spells have saved the group more than once.
Mason – Mason is the youngest and the only natural child of Mama G and their father. Always eager to do what needs done and be a part of the group, his specialty is still being discovered.
Along with friends like Cerena and Nathan and their wolf, Hunter, this group explores things most of us don’t want to know about. They may not all look alike and may not be blood related, but they are family.
I have many ideas for this series and am excited to bring them out. The Young Oddish Questors is being worked on alongside Book 1 of the Classified Arcane Expeditions which is about Bigfoot – along with a surprise guest or two.
I have a picture book that features young Conor and a real life Cryptozoologist – stay tuned for more.
And I’ll be offering young Cryptozoologist field kits at my table. Speaking of, I’ll be going to multiple events this year. These will mostly be cryptid and supernatural conventions, but some author events mixed in.
To that – I could use some help. I’m close to the project, which sometimes blinds you to faults or problems. Below is Chapter 1. Please read it online or download to read. I’d love some feedback on it – what you like and what you don’t. What may make it better or what is confusing and what you are interested in reading about. Any feedback is appreciated, please.
